“Sometimes the Bear”

My seriocomic short story, “Sometimes the Bear,” has just appeared in table//FEAST Literary Magazine, on page 50. PDF available now, print issue to follow in spring of 2025. Anyway, it features gentlemen with nicknames such as Crisco and Doorknob, and the women who put up with them, or don’t. It’s fun, and it touches on serious matters, and no one dies in it, and I think you ought to take a look.
