My longish short story, “The Swimming Pool,” has just appeared in Torrid Literature Journal‘s volume XXV, available in print only at Amazon right now. While it is not free, at only ten bucks it’s a deal, as it presents work from a total of thirty-one artists. They’ve been at this for ten years now, and I’m happy to have “The Swimming Pool” in their collection.
The story itself explores the feelings of a man who has become an orphan late in life, as we almost all do, while he prepares his father’s house for sale. There’s a tragicomic twist to it, and it leans towards a reconciliation, albeit a one-sided posthumous one.
